Paris saw snow during the men’s shows, which might explain why street stylers were wearing things like ski-goggle-sized sunglasses, and trapper hats. Others gravitated towards the latest “Mob Wife Aesthetic,” showing off their most opulent faux fur coats (though it must be said that Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini had long since made these part of their everyday uniforms—and a classic offering over at their brand, The Attico).

Junya Watanabe’s first Comme des Garçons Man collection was presented during the summer of 2001, in Paris. Despite the icy temperatures and sluggish economic climate, there was a sense of positivity at Paris men’s week this season.

“Paris really flexed its muscles again: Dior was incredible in terms of creativity, Loewe was absolutely cool — I loved the deep dive into America, same thing at Vuitton. It has been a strong season,” says fashion editor Bryan Grey Yambao, known as Bryanboy.

The Milan fall 2024 menswear shows have barely kicked off and we already have an It-item in our hands—the Gucci Marmont belt. The accessory, which last had its heyday in 2017, looks especially great paired with a knit tucked into blue jeans that showcase the signature double-G logo. (If blue jeans aren’t your thing, the belt also works well with trousers.) And although the sun is out, The Attico designers Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini are proof that it’s never too balmy to wear a faux fur jacket. Scroll through for our best street style photos from the fall 2024 menswear shows in Milan.

Mere days into 2024, we already have our first microtrend of the year: the “eclectic grandpa.” Coined by Pinterest as one of their 2024 trend predictions, the eclectic grandpa is all about colorful knitwear, tweed, loafers, patterned boxer shorts, sensible sneakers, baseball caps, and wristwatches; key words: retro, custom, vintage. “Because the coastal grandma aesthetic is so last year,”

Fraudsters are trawling lost pet forums and demanding ransom payments from owners desperate for their safe return.

A BBC North West investigation found scammers have targeted scores of dog and cat lovers with threatening calls.

They prey on owners by claiming to have their lost pets before demanding cash.

One victim, from Greater Manchester, said a man claiming to have found her Yorkshire terrier wanted £2,000 and said she would never see her dog again if she went to the police.https://www.bbc.com/news/u...
