Tens of thousands of people in England with Jewish ancestry, who have a higher risk of developing certain cancers, are to be offered a genetic test on the NHS.
People with Jewish ancestry are about six times more likely to carry faults in their BRCA genes than the general population. The new scheme forms part of a national drive by health leaders to identify more people with a higher risk of cancer, in an effort to spot and treat the disease earlier

Kuaishou is a short-video platform similar to Douyin. Unlike its more upscale competitor which targets big brands as well as urban youth, Kuaishou is primarily aimed at lower-tier cities, rural populations, and migrant workers who use the app for comedy videos or live-streaming of mundane tasks like daily trips.
Since February 2021, Kuaishou has gone public, the shares have more than doubled. This is the biggest tech IPO since Uber in 2019.

Some of Scotland’s most famous bird species, including grouse and kestrels, are among those declining as a result of climate change, a new report has found.
The study, by public body NatureScot, charted the populations of Scotland’s terrestrial breeding birds between 1994 and 2022. It found significant changes to the numbers and species of birds living in the country’s urban, woodland, upland and farmland habitats, in large part due to hotter and wetter weather related to the climate crisis.https://www.theguardian.co...
